florals & landscapes
Although, initially I wasn't drawn to photographing flowers, I found it impossible to pass up the opportunity when I would come across their grace, simple and complex beauty paired with their vibrant colors.
Delano Drop, Canada 2007

Landscapes are one of my initial interests in photography. Influenced by Ansel Adams' black and white work and then Eliot Porter for his color images, I continue to search for interesting compositions nature provides.

man's influence
Going somewhere new is something I always look forward to with great excitement. New discoveries, broadening horizon's, new friends, going to a place I read about as a child, the reasons are too numerous to mention why, while happy and satisfied, I can't stay in my "backyard". Whether foreign or domestic, travel is all about adventure to me. Then, making images to tell the viewer what I saw, experienced, felt, adds an enjoyable challenge to the overall experience that "getting out of the house" brings.
